About the Fiat 600e
The Fiat 600e is the bigger sibling to the popular Fiat 500e, offering more practical interior space while retaining Fiat's characterful Italian styling. Built on Stellantis's eCMP2 platform — shared with the Peugeot e-2008 and Jeep Avenger — it slots into the competitive small electric crossover segment.
Powered by a 50.8 kWh NMC battery, the 600e delivers a WLTP range of around 252 miles, which translates to roughly 190–215 miles in real-world conditions. DC charging peaks at 100 kW, giving a 10-to-80% charge in about 27 minutes. While this is not class-leading, it is adequate for the car's intended use as a primarily urban and suburban vehicle.
The interior is cheerful and well-designed, with a 10.25-inch touchscreen running Fiat's latest infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Rear space is significantly improved over the 500e, making the 600e viable as a small family car. The 360-litre boot is competitive for the class.
Performance is modest with 156 bhp from a single front motor, but the 600e is not intended to be sporty. It is nimble around town, easy to park, and comfortable on longer runs. The ride quality is generally good, though some find the steering a little light.
What the press thinks
Reviewers find the 600e a charming and practical small EV with more space than the 500e. Italian design flair and a well-equipped cabin earn praise. However, the relatively slow DC charging speed, modest performance, and stiff pricing compared to rivals like the MG4 and BYD Atto 3 attract criticism.
