About the Peugeot e-3008
The Peugeot e-3008 represents a dramatic reinvention for the French brand. Moving away from the compact crossover formula of its predecessor, the e-3008 is now a fully electric mid-size SUV built on Stellantis's STLA Medium platform. The result is one of the most striking-looking EVs on sale, with a bold fastback silhouette and a futuristic interior dominated by the panoramic i-Cockpit featuring a 21-inch curved display.
Two battery options are available at launch: a 73 kWh pack offering 311 miles of WLTP range, and a larger 97 kWh version that claims an exceptional 422 miles — among the longest-range non-Tesla EVs on sale. DC charging peaks at 160 kW, which is respectable but not class-leading. Expect a 10–80% top-up in around 30 minutes on a fast charger.
The e-3008 rides well, feels refined at speed, and offers a genuinely spacious cabin with a practical 520-litre boot. It competes directly with the Volkswagen ID.4, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Tesla Model Y, but distinguishes itself with French design flair and that headline-grabbing range figure. Running costs are competitive, and Peugeot's warranty package is solid.
What the press thinks
The e-3008 has been widely praised for its dramatic design, impressive range options, and comfortable ride. The interior technology is a standout, though the i-Cockpit layout remains divisive. Charging speed could be faster given the large battery, and the higher-capacity variant commands a premium price.
