ID.4 estimated average
These curves are aggregated, owner-reported degradation data — not official manufacturer figures. Your own result above is the number that matters.
Wh/mi or Wh/km
On the infotainment screen, swipe to the "Driving Data" view or go to "Vehicle" → "e-Manager" → "Driving Data". Average consumption in kWh/100 km or Wh/mi is listed in the trip computer. On ID. models, it's also on the "Driving Data" card on the home screen.
Estimated Range
Estimated range is displayed on the instrument cluster (or ID. Cockpit) behind the steering wheel and in the "e-Manager" → "Range" section of the infotainment.
Battery Percentage
Battery percentage is shown on the instrument cluster next to the range figure and in the top status bar of the infotainment. On ID. models, it also appears on the ID. Light status bar.

About the Volkswagen ID.4
The Volkswagen ID.4 takes the MEB platform from the ID.3 and wraps it in a family-friendly SUV body. It competes directly with the Tesla Model Y, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Kia EV6 — all strong rivals.
With either a 77 kWh or 82 kWh battery (depending on model year), the ID.4 offers up to 323 miles WLTP range. Real-world figures of 180–270 miles are respectable. The GTX performance variant adds all-wheel drive and 286 bhp.
The ID.4 is comfortable, spacious, and refined on the highway. It's not as sharp to drive as the Ioniq 5 or as tech-forward as the Model Y, but VW's build quality and dealer network are reassuring. It's competitively positioned in the mid-range EV SUV segment.
What the press thinks
A competent family SUV that doesn't excel in any one area but does everything adequately. Reviewers consistently praise comfort and space while noting it lacks the excitement of sportier rivals. The infotainment improved significantly with the 2023 update.
