ID.3 estimated average
These curves are aggregated, owner-reported degradation data — not official manufacturer figures. Your own result above is the number that matters.
Wh/mi or Wh/km
On the infotainment screen, swipe to the "Driving Data" view or go to "Vehicle" → "e-Manager" → "Driving Data". Average consumption in kWh/100 km or Wh/mi is listed in the trip computer. On ID. models, it's also on the "Driving Data" card on the home screen.
Estimated Range
Estimated range is displayed on the instrument cluster (or ID. Cockpit) behind the steering wheel and in the "e-Manager" → "Range" section of the infotainment.
Battery Percentage
Battery percentage is shown on the instrument cluster next to the range figure and in the top status bar of the infotainment. On ID. models, it also appears on the ID. Light status bar.

About the Volkswagen ID.3
The Volkswagen ID.3 was VW's first purpose-built EV and the car tasked with being the electric Golf. Built on the MEB platform, it offers a spacious interior for its footprint thanks to the flat floor and rear-mounted motor.
Available with 58 kWh or 77 kWh batteries, the ID.3 offers 215–340 miles WLTP range. The larger battery is the sweet spot, giving real-world range of around 250–280 miles. DC charging at up to 170 kW means a 10–80% charge in about 30 minutes.
Early models suffered from software bugs, but VW has largely resolved these. The 2023 facelift brought a much-improved infotainment system and better interior materials. It's a sensible, well-rounded choice — if not the most exciting one.
What the press thinks
Reviewers describe the ID.3 as the sensible EV choice — spacious, comfortable, and practical. The facelift significantly improved the infotainment and interior quality. Criticisms focus on the somewhat bland driving experience and slower DC charging compared to rivals like the Model 3.
