i7 estimated average
These curves are aggregated, owner-reported degradation data — not official manufacturer figures. Your own result above is the number that matters.
Wh/mi or Wh/km
Swipe left on the curved display to the "Efficiency" widget — tap it for a bar chart showing kWh/100 km split by Climate, Drivetrain and Auxiliaries. Or go to "My Car" → "Trip Info" for average consumption per trip. On the i3, use the iDrive controller: "Vehicle Info" → "Trip Computer" → "Consumption".
Estimated Range
Always shown in the instrument cluster next to the battery gauge. On iDrive 8+ models you can also tap the battery icon on the home screen for a range map adjusted to terrain and driving style.
Battery Percentage
Visible in the instrument cluster beside the battery gauge. Tap the battery icon on the home screen for exact percentage and charging status. If you see range instead of %, go to "My Car" → "Settings" → "Units" and switch to percentage.

About the BMW i7
The BMW i7 is an ultra-luxury electric limousine that competes with the Mercedes EQS at the very top of the EV market. Built on the same CLAR platform as the combustion 7 Series, it shares its imposing presence and extensive list of luxury features — including the optional 31-inch Theatre Screen for rear passengers, which folds down from the headliner for cinema-quality entertainment on the move.
Powered by a 101.7 kWh NMC battery, the i7 offers up to 388 miles WLTP range in eDrive50 form, with real-world figures of 260-330 miles depending on driving style and conditions. DC charging at 195 kW allows a 10-80% charge in approximately 34 minutes. Three variants are available: the eDrive50, the xDrive60, and the range-topping M70 xDrive with 660 bhp.
Despite weighing over 2.6 tonnes, the i7 rides with remarkable composure on its standard air suspension. The cabin is whisper-quiet and loaded with technology, from the crystal iDrive controller to the Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system. It feels every inch the flagship.
The i7 proves that electric luxury saloons can match their combustion counterparts for refinement and presence, while adding the smoothness and silence that only an EV powertrain can deliver.
What the press thinks
Critics are impressed by the i7's combination of luxury, refinement, and technology. The Theatre Screen is frequently highlighted as a standout feature. Main criticisms include the substantial weight, the controversial front-end design, and the high price that limits its appeal to a very select audience.
