About the Leapmotor T03
The Leapmotor T03 is an ultra-budget electric city car that brings genuine EV motoring to a price point previously occupied only by second-hand vehicles. Roughly the size of a Volkswagen e-Up, it packs a 37.3 kWh LFP battery that delivers around 165 miles WLTP — significantly more than you might expect from a car this small and affordable.
Don't expect sports car performance — 95 bhp gets you to 62 mph in around 12 seconds — but for urban commuting and short suburban trips it's more than adequate. The LFP battery chemistry means you can charge to 100% every day without worrying about degradation, and the 6-hour charge time on a 7 kW home charger suits overnight use perfectly.
Distributed through Stellantis dealers in Europe, the T03 is aimed squarely at buyers who want the lowest possible cost of EV ownership. It comes surprisingly well equipped for the price, with features like a digital instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment, and basic driver assistance systems.
