About the Maserati GranCabrio

The Maserati GranCabrio Folgore is one of the rarest species in the EV world: a fully electric luxury convertible. Built on the same 800V architecture as the GranTurismo Folgore, it houses a 92.5 kWh NMC battery and delivers 750 bhp from a tri-motor setup, accelerating to 62 mph in just 2.8 seconds — roof up or down.

The convertible format means some compromises: the battery is slightly less well insulated, and the structural reinforcement needed for rigidity adds weight. But the driving experience is uniquely intoxicating — silent electric acceleration with the wind in your hair and the distinctive Maserati design turning heads everywhere.

DC fast charging at up to 270 kW via the 800V system keeps stops brief, and around 280 miles WLTP range is respectable for a performance convertible. This is an unapologetically emotional purchase rather than a rational one, occupying a niche that virtually no other manufacturer has attempted in the electric era.
